Children


Our children’s ministry strives to provide Christian growth for our children from infancy through fifth grade. Through religious education, family support and spiritual guidance, we will assist families with connecting with God in an environment that is fun, safe and nurturing.

We offer interactive Sunday school classes, Wednesday evening activities, children’s choir, summertime Vacation Bible School, church camps and a variety of other educational mediums to spread God’s love.

  • Summer Son Fun May 10, 2012

     

    Summer Son Fun is only a few short weeks away.  We are looking for Sunday School Classes, Circles, Methodist Men, Disciple Classes or friends that would like to prepare dinner for the group of children, youth and volunteers.  There will be a group of volunteers that will help with serving and cleaning up.

  • Join Our First Kids Activities! May 10, 2012

    Camp season is here!

    A child’s experience at an Oklahoma Conference camp is one that is surrounded in Christian love and great learning actives.  The children will enjoy a taste of hiking, swimming, crafts and learning in small groups under the caring and watchful eyes of leaders. They will start to build relationships with other children that can continue through a lifetime.  Camps are always looking for parents to help provide supervision at camp so if your child is hesitant about staying away from home you have the opportunity to attend with your child.

    SonShine: Under God’s Roof 
    Entering Grades 1 – 2  June 9-10

    Early elementary campers enjoy a taste of hiking, swimming, crafts and active learning in small groups under the caring and watchful eye of shepherds and leaders. All activities and creative worship in this overnight camp are geared for this younger age-level.  Campers: $63  Adults: $40

    Growin’ In Grace: Partners in Creating 
    Entering Grades 3 – 5 June 4-6

    Older elementary campers have the opportunity to experience God’s love in God’s beautiful creation over this three day; two night camp. In addition to hiking, swimming, recreation, and crafts, campers participate in interactive small group learning and creative worship. Campers: $152

    T’weens Discover:  Got Spirit?
    Finding God in the Everyday
    Entering Grade 6  June 4-8

    Acknowledging the uniqueness of pre-t’weens, this camp for rising sixth graders is designed to help t’weeners explore the concept that God is always with us. In “Got Spirit” campers will explore different ways God reveals God’s self to the human family, by affirming God’s presence in the ordinary moments of life. Campers: $255

  • First Kids Church (May 13) May 10, 2012

    Sunday School at 9:45 am  Room 126

    (Children will be picked up in their classrooms.)

    First Kids Church

    11:00 in Christian Activity Center

    (Children will leave the service after Children’s Moment and will be picked up after the 11:00 service in Room 125.)

     We need volunteers for Children’s Church for the 11:00 service.

     

  • Summer Son Fun!! May 2, 2012

    This program involving the neighborhood kids, our kids and the Rolling Greens kids was such a success last summer, that plans are being made for this summer. Beginning June 13 through August 1, the kids will meet on Wednesday evenings at 4:30 for a meal and then have activities for all age groups. This is a great way for our church to participate in an activity that involves lots of kids and gives support to them.  These activities and meals take many adults to help.

     Bus riders as we pick up kids
     Adult at each table to enjoy the fellowship with the kids
     Helping supervise groups
     Cooking and serving meals
     Getting permission slips signed
     Come one time or all seven weeks
