A small vision is blossoming into a wonderful extended ministry. Rolling Green Apartments is near our church and houses many at-risk children who need the love and support of the church. A Sunday school class planted the seed for a tutoring program, HELP WITH HOMEWORK. Bradford Village, a retirement center located on Boulevard, had lovingly made space available. Unfortunately, the flood of June, 2010 caused significant damage to the area that was used. Fortunately, the Masonic Lodge, also located on Boulevard, is providing interim meeting space. Members of several churches joined our effort. Now, UCO students have caught the vision of helping children become better students and readers. HELP WITH HOMEWORK takes place on Sunday afternoons. We are always in need of more volunteers who are willing to give an hour or two to help at-risk children become better students. For more information, contact Ray Parker at 614-5129.
