  • What type of Worship Services do you offer?

On Sunday mornings, Edmond First offers two services at 8:30 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. During these main liturgical services, sermons are scripturally based on the Revised Common Lectionary. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, where all are welcome to receive with us regardless of membership or baptism.

What will I expect to do during worship service?

First, we promise you won’t be embarrassed or pressured to give money or to join the church, so relax and focus on experiencing worship. We’ll be singing songs to express our love for God, and the words will be on the screens for you to sing along if you would like. You may also see Christian sacraments, such as baptism or communion, and we’ll be sure to explain what they mean so you won’t feel out of the loop. We will also have any important text on the screens to follow along. One of our teaching pastors will share a relevant message to enable you to discover new truths that help you see life from God’s point of view. We encourage you to take notes, if you would like. At the end of the service, you’ll have an opportunity to respond to the message in a variety of ways if you so desire. Worship is roughly an hour so you’ll be ready to go pick up your little ones, meet new friends for lunch, or simply just head home for that afternoon nap!
