adult discipleship
adult discipleship
Our adult discipleship ministries are focused on faith-building through intentional and meaningful community engagement. We firmly believe that spiritual growth flourishes when we come together as a church family, united in our commitment to deepening our relationship with God and each other. Through our diverse offerings, including Sunday School classes, United Women in Faith, United Methodist Men's group, and a variety of weekly Bible study opportunities, we strive to provide a nurturing environment where individuals can explore their faith, ask questions, and find support. By actively participating in these ministries, we not only strengthen our spiritual journey but also contribute to the vibrant, interconnected tapestry of our church community.

senior connection
The Edmond First Senior Connection is a thriving community that comes together on a monthly basis to celebrate life and enjoy the company of fellow members. On the fourth Friday of every month, our members gather for evening dinners accompanied by delightful entertainment. These events are open to everyone in the community, offering a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere where connections are formed and friendships flourish. Apart from our monthly gatherings, the Senior Connection organizes one-day trips each year, providing opportunities for exciting adventures and new experiences. Our desire is to create an inclusive environment where individuals of all ages can engage in meaningful conversations and forge lasting connections. In addition to the joy we find in each other's company, the Senior Connection takes great pride in supporting the church's youth ministries and the Wesley Foundation. We contribute both financially and through personal service, recognizing the importance of nurturing the spiritual growth of younger generations. Furthermore, the Senior Connection is proud to sponsor a Congregational Care Committee, which goes above and beyond to ensure that no member of our community feels alone or forgotten. This dedicated committee makes monthly visits, sends thoughtful cards, and places heartwarming phone calls to our beloved shut-ins. Our aim is to make everyone feel cherished and valued, reinforcing the sense of belonging within our church family. On top of all these fantastic activities, our vibrant senior citizens take part in weekly volleyball games held in our Christian Activity Center Gym every Tuesday from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. These friendly competitions not only promote physical well-being but also build camaraderie among our members, fostering a sense of community and unity. In summary, the Edmond First Senior Connection provides a multitude of opportunities for seniors to socialize, engage in activities, and give back to the community. Through our monthly gatherings, trips, support for youth ministries, and dedicated care committee, we strive to foster a strong sense of fellowship and interconnectedness. Additionally, our weekly volleyball games offer a chance for our seniors to stay active and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals. Join us and become part of a loving and caring community that values and appreciates seniors.
