Thank You, Team Tuesday!

Edmond First United Methodist Church is known for helping others in many ways. But did you know that a group of FUMC ladies fed the UCO Women’s Basketball team 2 suppers and one lunch in December? Head coach Emma Andrews made contact with our church, asking if we might be able to help with any team meals. The Lady Bronchos were still on campus for practice and games during most of the break, but dorm cafeterias were closed. Coach Andrews sought ways to help her team without the expense of eating all their restaurant meals. Tuesday Outreach helpers Jane Collier, Rosemary Mangus, Marie Gately, Tammy Neu, Anita Hail, & Ann Stewart got excited about the opportunity, cooked supper for 16 on two different evenings, and provided a salad carry-out meal. Alex Jackson welcomed the team both nights and made sure they were informed about opportunities and assistance at the Wesley House. Thank you, Team Tuesday, for the welcome and the witness you shared on behalf of all of us at FUMC.
