The Fou(R)’s

Reflect, Rejoice, Refresh, and Relate

In the past few years my life has changed in ways I could never have been ready to face. My husband of 62 years passed away nearly two years ago. I was not prepared to face that change at all. I was consumed with many different emotions…anger, fear, confusion, anxiety, loneliness … however, I have been blessed with a strong faith in God all of my life. My parents and many other Christians I’ve known have shown me the deep love God has for me and that I am safe in His care. Throughout this time of great, life altering changes I have reached out to a faithful, loving God for my comfort and assurance that I will be okay.

As I journey, once again, through this Lenten season I find myself closer to God each day that passes. I am praying to keep my focus on His presence. To do this I have increased my direct time with Him through reading His Word and other Spiritual writings available to me. Also, through meditation and my prayer life, recognizing His blessings all around me and thanking and praising Him.  I find when I can sincerely remain grateful, my days are filled with joy and peace. I find it impossible to be negative when I am truly expressing gratitude.

I sincerely pray that this Lenten season is bringing you closer to God… feeling gratitude for His many blessings in your life.
